For a long time I have really enjoyed the quote: “Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.” which is usually attributed to Goethe. However, yesterday I came across a full paragraph leading up to this quote and was blown away by its truthfulness….and in my research to find it again today to share with you all, I came across some research that indicates perhaps it wasn’t Goethe who wrote it. Nevertheless, read the words and let them sink in and see if they resonate with you in your time and space right here and now….
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.”
Do you see any patterns in your life that resemble descriptions in the paragraph above?
What do you feel after observing patterns?
Do you dream of doing something and you’re not sure how to start it? Or have you started it and it didn’t go the way you had hoped?
Whatever your journey, I sincerely hope that you keep dreaming and keep doing with a sense of joy, hope and gratitude.
Namaste,
Pamela
